Winterville Wings Chapter 1423 is a group of fun-loving aviation enthusiasts who meet to talk about building, restoring, and flying airplanes at least once a month in Winterville, NC.

We flock to South Oaks Aerodrome (05N), a veritable aviation enthusiast’s dream – a fly-in community, grass-roots-grass-strip, club house and meeting house, and all around great place to hang out and tell aviation stories.

We meet the third Saturday of every month. Throughout the year we try to have a full roster of guest speakers and programs related to all aspects of aviation. Every meeting is followed by a meal provided by one of our members, but make no mistake – we’re not a supper club. We are all about the flying!

EAA 1423 usually hosts two fly-in events a year, one in the Spring, one in the Fall. In addition, we have a more casual Thursday night cookout, on a seasonal basis. It often leads to spontaneous aviating as well.

Visitors are always welcomed!
